Before we start working on our marketing or improving our offer, we need to ascertain who we are targeting, our ideal guest.  Everything we do in Facebook Fix will be improved by a good understanding of who our ideal guest is. This little bit of action will provide you with your first ‘WIN’ within minutes 😊

This is the shift that changes what we do from ‘argh I ought to post about the nice new towels’ to some certainty and purpose in the actions we take. This will mean everything you do going forward aligns and sends a united message to your ideal guest.

Confusion is the  enemy of sales. Focussing on an ideal guest does not preclude others from booking; it creates clarity about your offer.

This prompt will be posted in the group on Monday 20th too, but if you want to get ahead, this is your chance.

1.      Before you do anything, watch the video . Make notes on your gut reaction to my prompts.

2.      Decide who your ideal guest is.

a.      Who has booked before? (Booking data – avoid assumptions, actually review it)

b.      Who has loved it the most? (Reviews – read lots, what do they actually love)

c.      What are your selling points? Who do they work best for?

d.      Which guests do you enjoy hosting the most? Which are the least stressful check ins and changeovers?

e.      Which stays are the most profitable?

And if you still end up with more than one option….

f.        Which of the guest profiles you come back with are the most ‘needy’? (full explanation in the video)

3. OPTIONAL: Dig deeper (not possible for newbies, and not a necessity, but highly effective and recommended!)

Use my example note with  questions to inspire your own (or just use it as is!) and send to three to five guests that come to mind when you think ‘ideal’, or a version of it. Ask her to spend a few minutes completing it for optimal insight: this will really deepen your understanding. My prompt is here https://www.kaygibbs.com/s/Email-to-send-to-ideal-guest.pdf

4.      Complete the ideal guest profile tool within your workbook). Identify who she is. Her age, stage of life, family setup and what she is hoping this break will give her. Those final few deep questions are the most powerful…

I’m looking forward to hearing who she is and getting to know you better in the group. See you there soon!
